A homeless man has been attacked in a Salisbury car park.
On Wednesday 26 April, at approximately 5pm, two men assaulted a 31-year-old homeless man in the pedestrian area near to Central Car Park in Salisbury.
The offenders pushed him to the floor and kicked and punched him resulting in injuries to his head and face. The victim fled to an area to the rear of Iceland but was attacked again by the same two men.
The offenders were described as:
1 – White, of a slim build, approximately 6ft tall, with dark hair, wearing a hoody and had large front teeth.
2 – White, very short hair, of slim build, approximately 6ft tall.
Both were adults, aged possibly in their thirties.
The victim was helped a member of the public who took him to a nearby pharmacy and called an ambulance. He was taken to Salisbury District Hospital for treatment.
PC Jack Billington said: “We are conducting a number of enquiries to identify the two men responsible for this attack. Fortunately the victim did not sustain any serious injury however he was very shaken.
“We believe that there was a female member of the public in the area at the time who would have seen the suspects as they left the area after the assault. We would encourage her to come forward as she may be able to assist with our investigation.
“I ask that anyone who saw the incident or who has information on those responsible contacts police.”
