Police deployed a stinger to end an eight-mile motorbike chase in Wiltshire.
Officers attempted to stop a man riding a Yamaha motorcycle on Rodbourne Road, Swindon, at around 12pm on Thursday (15 October).
But the rider failed to stop for police, prompting officers to launch a pursuit which continued out of Swindon towards Cricklade.
The motorcyclist was pursued for approximately eight miles before officers brought the chase to an end using a stinger.
The device was deployed at the roundabout connecting the B4040 and High Street in Cricklade, where the motorcycle was brought to a stop.
A 33-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop for police and driving while under the influence of drugs.
The man was also arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A and Class B drugs.
The suspect has since been released on police bail while further enquiries are carried out.
