A Swindon surgery is closed as forensics examine a crime scene outside.
Police are guarding a cordon around Great Western Surgery in Farriers Close this morning (Tuesday), following a serious incident overnight.
It’s understood the surgery is not involved, with police focusing on an area behind the building.

At 6am, officers were standing watch over the car park and grass area at the rear – which has been taped off.
Detectives have launched an investigation, with crime scene investigators attending the scene to carry out an examination.
Police-issue cones have been used to cover evidence on the site, protecting it from the rain ahead of forensic work.
A spokesperson for The Whalebridge Group said: “Due to unforeseen circumstances The Great Western Surgery is closed at present due to a police cordon around the practice.
“Updates will be given as soon as we have further information.
“Our team are working hard to move appointments to our other two practices.
“You will be called or notified as soon as this has been done.”
