A ‘very minor’ crash involving an electric car sparked a lengthy closure in Swindon.
Following a two-vehicle road traffic collision, emergency services were called to Manchester Road at approximately 8.20am today (Monday).
A white Tesla and a Stagecoach bus were involved in the incident, which happened at the junction for Corporation Street.

While nobody sustained injuries and neither vehicle sustained significant damage, the road was cordoned off for nearly three hours.
Wiltshire 999s can now reveal that officers from Wiltshire Police’s Forensic Collision Investigation Unit from Devizes HQ were deployed to the scene.
With specialist knowledge of electric vehicles and the risks posed by damaged batteries, they were able to safely move the bus and recover the Tesla.

The road remained closed in both directions until around 11am.
In a statement earlier, a force spokesperson said: “At around 8.20am we responded to a collision between a Tesla and a bus on Manchester Road, Swindon.
“There were no reported injuries and no arrests made.”
