A volunteer police officer who has given thousands of hours of his own time to serving communities across Wiltshire has received a long service award.
Special Constable Ben Williamson has been recognised after more than 14 years with Wiltshire Police, having joined the force in 2012.
During his time as a volunteer police officer, Ben has supported frontline policing, taken part in road safety operations and worked alongside neighbourhood teams across the county.
Wiltshire Police said he is one of its most highly trained Special Constables and has played a key role in preventing crime, keeping roads safe and supporting colleagues.
Over more than a decade of volunteering, Ben has also progressed to take on greater responsibility within the Special Constabulary.
He is now serving as Acting Deputy Specials Chief Officer and helps other volunteer police officers develop their skills and experience.

Ben currently mentors more than 20 Special Constables, helping to support the next generation of volunteer officers serving Wiltshire.
His motivation for continuing to give up his time comes from helping members of the public when they are facing some of their most difficult moments.
Ben said: “What motivates me to do a public service is being able to support people in their worst times and attempting to provide a friendly yet professional service to those that need it.”
Wiltshire Police has thanked Ben for his commitment, professionalism and years of service to people across the county.
His Long Service Award recognises more than 14 years spent volunteering as a police officer and the thousands of hours he has dedicated to policing Wiltshire.
