A schoolgirl has been airlifted to hospital after being found injured in Swindon.
Emergency services responded to reports of a casualty on Mill Lane, in the East Wichel area, shortly before 8.30am this morning (Thursday).
An ambulance crew, assisted by critical care medics from Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance, treated a 12-year-old girl for injuries.

Around one hour and 30 minutes later she was taken into the air ambulance helicopter and airlifted to Bristol Children’s Hospital for urgent care.
The child, who was thought to be wearing a school uniform, is believed to have fallen off her bicycle while cycling to school.
It’s not yet clear how the girl managed to come off her bike – and an investigation is underway.

“Enquiries are currently ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident”, a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said.
South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust confirmed that one double-crewed land ambulance and air ambulance attended.
