A balloon release is set to take place in Melksham in memory of Noah Woods, whose body was found in a Suffolk pond after he went missing from a playground.
People are being invited to gather in Melksham at 6pm on 24 September to pay their respects to the three-year-old boy.
A poster advertising the event states: ‘We are letting balloons go in respect of Noah Woods at Melksham Town Park on [Thursday] 24 September at 6pm’.
An organiser told Wiltshire 999s that ‘everyone is welcome’, but those attending are being asked to bring their own balloons.
Noah’s disappearance sparked a major emergency services search in Brantham, Suffolk, after he became separated from a relative following a visit to a playground.
The three-year-old disappeared at around 3pm after reportedly running down an alleyway and out of sight.
Police officers, search dogs, helicopters, firefighters, Coastguard teams, specialist volunteers and members of the public were involved in efforts to locate him.
Metropolitan Police dive teams were later deployed to search Decoy Pond in Brantham, where the body of a child was recovered.
Police later confirmed the body to be that of Noah. His death was being treated as unexplained but not suspicious.
