A drink driver who was stopped in Swindon after police became concerned about his driving has been banned from the road for three years.
Luke Nichol, 29, of Cliff Avenue, Winterton, North Lincolnshire, pleaded guilty to drink driving when he appeared at Swindon Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 3 September.
Officers stopped a Nissan Qashqai in Marlborough Road at around 5.15am on 29 July after concerns were raised about the way it was being driven.
Nichol identified himself as the driver when officers spoke to him. They could smell alcohol and carried out a roadside breath test, which he failed.
He was disqualified from driving for 36 months and fined £230. Nichol was also ordered to pay a £92 surcharge and £85 in costs.
