Armed police have swooped on an address in Trowbridge following a serious incident involving a crossbow this morning (Sunday).
It’s understood firearms officers were deployed to reports of a male making threats with a weapon at a house in Navigator Close at around 9.30am.
A man was reportedly arrested at the scene – with a crossbow and numerous bolts seized. It appears an air rifle, which was secured in a case, was also removed.

Three unmarked armed response vehicles were parked blocking Navigator Close while officers responded to the incident.
It’s understood South Western Ambulance Service were were put on standby over fears somebody had been, or was going to be, injured amid the disorder.
They were stood down after the police confirmed that nobody required medical care.

Wiltshire Police has been approached for comment.
