The family of a two-year-old boy who died suddenly in Swindon have thanked the community after more than £6,000 was raised in his memory.

Kylan was found unresponsive by his mum at their home in Pinehurst on Friday 14 August.

Emergency services attended the address in Beech Avenue, including Great Western Air Ambulance, but the toddler was pronounced dead.

Kylan had gone to bed seemingly healthy and happy the night before, but did not wake the following morning.

Wiltshire Police previously confirmed that there were not thought to be any suspicious circumstances. The death is currently being investigated by the coroner.

The youngster, who was a twin, was described by loved ones as a funny, mischievous and curious little boy.

A GoFundMe appeal launched following his death has raised £6,669, with donations continuing to be made. Make a donation here >

The money will help towards funeral costs and provide practical and emotional support for Kylan’s mum and his three brothers, aged ten, five and two. His twin brother has Down’s Syndrome.

Kylan’s family have expressed their heartfelt thanks to the Swindon community for the kindness and generosity shown following his death.

His 16-year-old cousin, Ollie Burns, of Arena Health & Fitness, is also preparing to take part in a fight in Kylan’s memory.

He is due to step into the ring at the MECA in Swindon on Saturday 5 September, with the event set to help raise further funds for the family.

Promoter Rich Loveday, of Tank Promotions, said: “My sincere thoughts go out to all the family and friends of Kylan.

“I hope we can raise some much-needed funds for this local family and add to the GoFundMe.”
