A passer-by who may have witnessed a sexual assault in Warminster is being urged to come forward.
The incident happened at around 3.30am on Thursday 21 August in Woodcock Road.
A woman, aged in her 20s, was sexually assaulted, Wiltshire Police said.
A man, aged in his 20s and from Trowbridge, was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault.
He has since been released on conditional bail while further enquiries are carried out.
Police believe a passer-by offered assistance to the woman following the incident and may have witnessed what happened.
