Police have smashed down a door to arrest the suspected Southwick flasher – who is accused of plaguing the village near Trowbridge for weeks.
Officers on patrol were flagged down by a member of the public amid an incident on Thursday evening (20 August) – before they forced entry to a property in the Swan Court/The Mowlems area.
Wiltshire Police confirmed that a man, aged 22, was arrested on suspicion of seven counts of exposure, three counts of outraging public decency and three counts of voyeurism.
The suspect remains in custody for questioning this afternoon (Friday).
Searches were carried out at the raided address earlier as officers combed for evidence; the door has since been boarded up.
Neighbourhood Sergeant Charly Chilton said: “We appreciate the significant amount of concern and distress that these incidents have caused in the area.
“We have been conducting regular patrols in the community over the past few weeks and we’re pleased to say that following another incident yesterday, local officers on patrols were flagged down by a member of the public and the suspect was arrested.
“This type of offence is taken incredibly seriously and we encourage anyone who has experienced or witnessed such behaviour to contact us.”
