The A36 has been closed following a serious road traffic collision involving two cars.
Emergency services were called a serious crash on the major route just east of Codford St Mary at around 2pm today (Saturday).
Great Western Air Ambulance is in attendance alongside other 999 crews.
The incident has closed the road in both directions between the A303 at Deptford and the B390 at Knook.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “Please be aware of road closures currently in place on the A36 to the east of Codford near Warminster following a road traffic collision.
“Road users should seek alternative routes and expect delays in the area.
“The road is expected to remain closed for some hours. Thank you for your patience.”
