Armed police swarm street and make arrests after assault in Swindon

Armed police were called in to make arrests in Swindon this afternoon.

Three armed response vehicles carrying six firearms officers raced to the scene on Salisbury Street, off Manchester Road, at around 1.45pm today.

Two males, aged 15 and 16, were arrested at the scene in connection with the incident.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police confirmed that the assault is being investigated.
