One person has died after a Tesla crashed into the back of a lorry the A419 in Swindon.
In a statement, a Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “A man has died following a collision on the A419 between Swindon and Cricklade this morning (31/07).
“At around 7.30am, we received a report that a grey Tesla Model Y travelling northbound on the A419 had collided with the back of a Scania lorry parked in a layby.
“The driver of the Tesla, a man in his 40s, was declared dead at the scene.
“His next of kin have been informed and our thoughts are with them at this time.”

They continued: “There were no other reported injuries.
“The A419 northbound remains closed while an investigation is carried out, with a closure in place northbound from the Turnpike junction.
“Any witnesses to the collision or anyone who may have dash cam is asked to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Team on 01225 694597 quoting log number 61 of today’s date.
