Firefighters have extinguished a blaze involving a spreading bonfire near Trowbridge.
Emergency services were called to a fire in the open in the Fairmile Meadows area of Southwick at around 8.50pm on Sunday (26 July).
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said that crews, from Trowbridge, found a “large bonfire which had spread to the surrounding grassland”.
Firefighters tackled the spreading flames, using two main jets and one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
The service confirmed that “advice was given to the landowner”, and crews had left the scene by midnight.
