Police have issued a major update confirming the death of a cyclist following a crash on a country road in Wiltshire earlier this month.
Emergency services, including Great Western Air Ambulance, responded to reports of a two-vehicle road traffic collision in Bradford Road, just south of Atworth, on 1 July.
The incident involved a cyclist and Volkswagen Caddy van. The cyclist, a 67-year-old man from Bradford on Avon, was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.

Despite the efforts of medical staff, he was pronounced dead on 10 July. His family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.
The driver of the Volkswagen, a woman, remained at the scene and is assisting Wiltshire Police with their enquiries into the crash.
The force is appealing to anyone who witnessed the cyclist or van involved prior to the collision at around 3.20pm.

“Both the cyclist and van were in the village of Atworth prior to the incident and both travelled west along Bradford Road”, a spokesperson said.
Adding: “Anyone who can help or anyone who may have dash cam or doorbell footage which captured those involved, should contact the serious collision investigation team on 01225 694597 quoting Log number 54260078838.
“Alternatively, contact the team directly – [email protected].”
