A man’s body was discovered on a footpath in Swindon this morning (Sunday).
Emergency services responded to reports of an unresponsive male behind Tryon Close, Liden, at around 7am.
Police and the ambulance service attended, with the man – aged in his 50s – declared deceased at the scene.

Officers erected a gazebo and a fire crew attended to attach blue tarpaulin – shielding the body from the view of the public.
Detectives were sent to the incident and investigative work was carried out. Door-to-door enquiries were made and CCTV was viewed.

The death was later ruled non-suspicious and undertakers attended before the crime scene cordon was lifted by early afternoon.
Wiltshire Police confirmed that officers were called to the “sudden death of a man in his 50s” near Liden Drive.
A spokesperson said that there are “no suspicious circumstances” and that “our thoughts are with his family and friends”.
