Wiltshire Police have launched an appeal to help find an elderly man who has gone missing from his home in Corsham.
Alfred, 82, who lives with dementia, was last seen at around 7.30am today (Sunday).
Officers said they are concerned for his welfare and are urging anyone who may have seen him or knows where he is to get in touch immediately.
The National Police Air Service helicopter has been deployed to assist in the search. Efforts to locate him are ongoing between Corsham and Gastard.
Alfred is described as white, around 5ft 7in tall, with grey hair and a short grey beard.
He is believed to be wearing grey trousers, a navy blue thin summer coat, glasses and an old-style flat cap.
Anyone with information about Alfred’s whereabouts is asked to call 999 immediately, quoting police log 92 of 5 July.
