A biker is fighting for his life after crashing through a roundabout on the A36.
Emergency services were called to a single-vehicle road traffic collision on a major route just south of Warminster at around 11.40am this morning (Thursday).
The incident involved a Suzuki Bandit 1200, which impacted the Crockerton Roundabout from the direction of Deverill Road – and came to rest on the opposite side.

Great Western Air Ambulance Charity attended the scene alongside local 999 crews, providing urgent treatment to the biker – a man aged in his 40s.
The man sustained life-threatening injuries and was subsequently taken to the Major Trauma Centre at Southmead Hospital in Bristol for further case.

The A36 between Cotley Hill roundabout and Cley Hill Roundabout, the A350 and Deverill Road within around one mile of Crockerton Roundabout are closed.
A forensic collision investigation is being carried out, followed by vehicle recovery. The road is likely to remain shut until late evening.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “This is causing extensive delays in the area. Please avoid the area and allow extra time for journeys.
