A Swindon man has died after a bike crashed head-on into a wall outside a pub.
Emergency services were called to a road traffic collision on London Road in Ampney St Peter, between Cirencester and Fairford, shortly before 7pm on Thursday (25 June).
A black BMW S 1000 RR Sport motorcycle struck a wall outside The Red Lion public house.
The rider, a man aged in his 50s and from Swindon, was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin has been informed, Gloucestershire Constabulary confirmed.
The pillion passenger of the motorbike, a man aged in his late teens and from Swindon, was assessed by paramedics and taken to Great Western Hospital with serious injuries.
A force spokesperson said: “Several roads between Ampney St Peter and Poulton were closed while a collision investigation took place and have since reopened.
“Investigating officers are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or has any relevant dashcam footage to get in contact.
“Information can be submitted to police by completing the following online form and quoting incident 529 of 25 June.
