An ex-Swindon Advertiser journalist’s child cruelty proceedings have moved court.
Daniel Wood was due to appear to Swindon Magistrates Court on Tuesday (9 June) charged with causing suffering or injury to a child in November 2025.
However, after a successfully application by defence solicitor Gordon Hotson, the case was moved to Cheltenham Magistrates Court.
It follows concerns raised about Wood being known to staff at the Swindon court.
Proceedings will continue at Cheltenham Magistrates Court on 10 July, where he will be expected to enter or indicate a plea to the offence.
The 35-year-old, of Ashbury Avenue, Swindon, was released on bail – with conditions not to contact the alleged victim and a named witness.
