Swindon Rugby Club has issued a statement after a stabbing on an adjacent field.
A man, aged in his 20s, was rushed to hospital following a knife attack off Greenbridge Road shortly before 4pm on Tuesday (9 June).
The incident happened just metres from Swindon Rugby Club, with police cordons being erected in the car park and behind the building.

In a statement, a spokesperson said: “You may have seen police reports about an incident at the rugby club yesterday afternoon.
“The incident occurred on the field, and not in the club (which was closed at the time), and is not connected to Swindon RFC in any way.
“Since this was brought to our attention we have been doing all we can to support the police as they make their enquiries.”
Wiltshire Police confirmed that the injured man was discharged from hospital following treatment. There was no mention of any arrests having been made.
In a statement, the force said: “We are appealing for witnesses following a stabbing in Swindon yesterday afternoon (09/06).
“At around 3.55pm, we received a report that a man in his 20s had been stabbed at the rugby club in Greenbridge Road.
“He was taken to hospital to be treated for his injuries and has since been discharged.
“A scene was subsequently set up at the rugby club to allow for enquiries to take place and has since been lifted.
