An air ambulance was tasked after a cyclist ‘hit a pothole’ and landed in a ditch.
Emergency services were called to a road traffic collision on the B4040 Malmesbury Road just east of Minety shortly before 10am this morning (Saturday).
Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance were sent to the incident, near the crossroads for B4696, alongside ambulance crews and a fire engine from Cricklade.
A cyclist, whose sex and age has not been confirmed, is understood to have hit a pothole and as a result ended up in a ditch at the roadside.
Critical care medics, working with local paramedics and firefighters, provided treatment. The casualty was later taken to hospital for further care.
The cyclist isn’t believed to have sustained any significant injuries in the crash.
