Firefighters are currently battling a serious blaze on an industrial estate in Swindon.
Emergency services were called to the scene in Broadmoor Road this morning (Tuesday).
The incident appears to be at a unit at Avro Gate on South Marston Industrial Estate.
It’s claimed there are around five fire engines in attendance, supported by the aerial ladder platform appliance.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus are said to be tackling the flames.
The road is blocked by fire crews. People arriving for work at adjoining premises are being told to stay away.
UPDATE 9AM: A Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 6:14am today with reports of a fire at a commercial premises on the South Marston Industrial Estate, Swindon.
“Six pumping appliances were mobilised (Stratton x 2, Westlea x 2, Swindon and Royal Wootton Bassett) along with the ALP from Swindon and a support vehicle from Pewsey.
“On arrival crews found a fire with a commercial unit which was extinguished by four breathing apparatus wearers using two hose reel jets, one covering jet, and a safety jet.
“The incident has been scaled back to two pumping appliances who are monitoring and checking for fire spread.”
