A crash involving a bus on the A4 near Chippenham is causing traffic delays.
Emergency services were called to Bath Road, near the Cross Keys junction, at around 3.30pm this afternoon (Wednesday).
The incident involved a Faresaver bus. It’s not clear what other vehicles were involved at this stage.
A spokesperson for the bus firm said: “231 – Due to the vehicle being involved in an accident we will be unable to run the 15:21 from Corsham into Bath.
“We also expect the road to be shut shortly which will mean following services will run late. We will update as soon as we have any further details.”
The bus is understood to have had a number of school and college pupils on board – some of whom are said to be “quite shaken up” following the smash.
Nobody is believed to have been seriously injured. Motorists should expect delays in the area.
