At least 30 firefighters are battling a major blaze involving a house in Wroughton.
Emergency services raced to The Pitchens at around 4.10pm this afternoon (Wednesday).
The roof of the large detached property was found to be well alight, with efforts ongoing to bring it under control at 7pm.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that crews from Swindon, Westlea, Stratton, Marlborough, Chippenham and Calne at on scene.
A water carrier from Royal Wootton Bassett and a command unit from Pewsey are also attending. Police and the ambulance service are present.
“Two breathing apparatus wearers, two hose reel jets and a main jet are in use”, a spokesperson said.
“No injuries have been reported, and a fire investigation will be carried out in due course.”
Firefighting is expected to continue into the night.
