A collection of expensive Pokemon cards have been stolen in Trowbridge.
Microshops, a shared space for small independent traders, in The Shires Shopping Centre was broken into on Wednesday night (15 April).
Wiltshire 999s understands that offenders stole a significant quantity of Pokemon cards, but exactly how many is unclear at this stage.
“Absolutely devastated to say that we were broken into in what seemed a targeted attack”, a spokesperson for SkyForge said.
Police attended the scene at the time of the incident, and forensic work is ongoing. The shopping centre remains open, but Microshops is closed today (Thursday).
UPDATE: In a statement, a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “We are investigating following a burglary in Trowbridge yesterday evening (15/04), during which a substantial amount of Pokémon cards and other items were stolen.
“At around 10pm yesterday, we received a report that a store in The Shires Shopping Centre in Trowbridge had been targeted and broken in to.
“Three suspects, described as white males and wearing black and grey tracksuits, are thought to have arrived at the centre at around 9.30pm in a silver BMW 5 series and broken into the centre.
“They have then burgled the store, before leaving shortly after.
“A number of Pokémon cards and boxes of unknown value were stolen.
“Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
