A women who attacked a bus driver after getting on the wrong bus was heard shouting death threats and vile abuse at police officers who attempted to arrest her yesterday.
The incident happened at just before 3pm on East Wichel Way, when the agitated woman assaulted the Swindon Bus Company staff member as she was alighting the bus.
Four police officers were called to the scene, where the woman was pinned to the floor as she shouted obscenities at them, including how she will kill them.
On Friday afternoon, a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police confirmed that a 40-year-old local woman was arrested on suspicion of public order offences and is in police custody.
