An air ambulance has landed after a crash on the B4040 involving lorry and car.
Emergency services were called to a two-vehicle road traffic collision west of Cricklade at around 4.30pm this afternoon (Monday).
The incident, which happened at crossroads connecting Waterhay with Chelwood Industrial Estate, involved a small hatchback and a lorry.
Midlands Air Ambulance has landed close to the scene, with critical care medics tending to two casualties inside the car.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “Please be aware of road closures in place on the B4040 to the west of Cricklade, following a road traffic collision.
“Closures are in place on the B4696 with the junction of the B4040 and are likely to remain in place for some time.
“Please avoid the area if possible and seek alternative routes.”
