A woman has been sectioned after being detained by police on an A419 bridge.
Officers responded to an incident on the B4019 in Blunsdon, Swindon, at around 4.30pm on Wednesday afternoon (11 February).
An eyewitness reports seeing six or seven police officers detaining a person in distress on the ground outside the Cold Harbour in Turnpike Road.
Wiltshire Police confirmed that they were called to the location after an adult woman was suffering a “mental health crisis”.
A spokesperson for the force said that she was “detained under Section 136 of the mental health act and is receiving appropriate care”.
