A woman has been charged and named after a cyclist was killed in a crash on the A350.
Emergency services were called to the fatal incident on the busy road at Lacock at around 5am on Tuesday morning (20 January).
A car struck a cyclist, 64-year-old Robert Jones. He sustained significant injuries on impact and died at the scene.
The driver of the car, a Vauxhall, was arrested and taken into custody.
Ayan Kolah, 38, has been charged with two offences and remanded in custody.
She faces allegations of causing death by dangerous driving and causing death by careless driving while unfit through drugs.
It’s also alleged Kolah failed to provide a specimen of breath for analysis.
The defendant, of Lowden, Chippenham, is due to appear at Swindon Magistrates’ Court this morning (Wednesday).
