The A350 at Lacock is closed in both directions after a crash involving a cyclist.
Emergency services were called to a two-vehicle road traffic collision on the major route at around 5am this morning (Tuesday).
The incident involved a car and a cyclist, with the cyclist sustaining serious injuries.
Police closed the road in both directions between the Whitehall Garden Centre junction and Melksham Road, but wider closures are being put in place.
It’s understood the stretch will be shut between Lackham Roundabout in Chippenham and Beanacre Roundabout (at Leekes) in Melksham.
Closures are likely to remain in place for several hours while investigation work is carried out.
