A veterinary surgeon has been charged over crash that left two OAPs seriously hurt.
Zach Gelal is due to appear at Swindon Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (13 January) – where he’ll face two counts of causing serious injury by careless driving.
The 27-year-old vet, who works at Wessex Equine Veterinary Practice in Calne, was driving a company branded Kia Sorento when the road traffic collision occurred.
Emergency services, including Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance, raced to the scene on the A346 Salisbury Hill, near Marlborough, on 21 January 2025.
At the time, Wiltshire Police confirmed that two people, aged in their 70s, sustained potentially life-changing injuries. A man also suffered a broken thumb.
The defendant, of Patch Street, Bath, is charged with causing two pensioners – Rodney Adams and Joyce Adams – serious injury by careless driving.
