A woman has been named and charged with a Christmas Day murder in Devizes.
Stefania Glowka, of Keepers Road, has been remanded in police custody to appear at Swindon Magistrates’ Court this morning (Tuesday).
The 63-year-old is charged with murdering Tamara Glowka, a woman aged in her 80s.
The relationship between the pair is yet to be confirmed, but both the defendant and victim have the same surname.
Magistrates cannot decide bail, so the case will be sent to a crown court for a bail hearing – which must take place within 48 hours of their first appearance.
The incident happened in a first-floor flat in Keepers Road at around 8.10am on Christmas Day.
Two air ambulances were called to the scene, with the Stefania Glowka taken to hospital with serious injuries. She has since been discharged.
