Locals have issued an urgent warning after a loose cow was spotted on the A361.
The animal was seen on the carriageway near Trowbridge at around 6.15pm today (Thursday).
The cow is on the busy route between Beckington and Frome, just over the Wiltshire border.
It’s not clear if the police are responding to the scene, but it’s understood efforts are ongoing by residents to inform local farms of the incident.
On social media, one local said: “There’s a loose cow on the A361 between Beckington and Frome (going direction of Frome).
“We have called the police but please be aware and careful!”
Another penned: “Just past the jersey cow on a361 headed to Beckington roundabout on carriage way down to oldford”.
