Coca-Cola’s famous Christmas truck is set to return to the UK this festive season, with the company confirming plans to visit fifteen locations as part of its latest nationwide tour.
The announcement marks fifteen years since the red truck first travelled around the country. This year’s theme, ‘Refresh Your Holidays’, aims to bring communities together and offer moments of festive cheer.
At each stop, visitors will find the truck surrounded by a winter-themed display. People can take photographs, enjoy Christmas games and pick up branded merchandise. Free bottles of Coca-Cola, Coke Zero and Diet Coke will also be handed out.
Last year more than 53,000 people attended the tour. The company says the attraction remains a key part of the UK’s build-up to Christmas, with many planning their visit as soon as dates are released.
Coca-Cola has confirmed it will continue its partnership with FareShare, the food redistribution charity. The business will make a donation equivalent to one million meals to support the charity’s work this winter.
Graham Kelly, Head of Fundraising at FareShare said: “We are so grateful to Coca-Cola for their continued support for FareShare. This incredibly generous donation means this festive season the equivalent of 1 million meals will reach people and communities in need.
“Every day, food from FareShare reaches over 8,000 charities across the UK, from after-school and community lunch clubs to homelessness shelters, providing nutritious meals alongside access to vital services.
“Coca-Cola’s support for FareShare is instrumental in strengthening communities and improving lives in every region of the UK. Together, we can create lasting change, one meal at a time.”
Coca-Cola is also working with Tesco on a fundraising initiative. For every Tesco Festive Meal Deal bought with a 500ml bottle of Coca-Cola Original Taste, Coca-Cola Zero Sugar or Diet Coke, the company will donate 20p to FareShare.
New festive packaging will appear on shelves in the coming weeks. Coca-Cola and Diet Coke cans and bottles will include limited-edition Christmas designs and QR codes offering customers the chance to win prizes.
Elodie Peribere, Senior Marketing Director for Coca-Cola Great Britain and Ireland, said: “Coca-Cola remains synonymous with Christmas, and we’re delighted to bring back our iconic Truck Tour.
“This year, we’re encouraging everyone to ‘Refresh Your Holidays’ and take a well-deserved pause to create uplifting moments with loved ones.
“Our continued partnership with FareShare, with our donation equivalent to 1 million meals, is incredibly important to us, and we hope to make this Christmas a little more meaningful for thousands of people across the country.”
Coca-Cola will confirm its full route on Instagram in the coming weeks.
