A missing man from Swindon has been discovered dead in a woodland, police say.
Officers had been searching for 29-year-old Louis Lobban since his disappearance on Monday afternoon (20 October).
On Wednesday afternoon (22 October), Wiltshire Search and Rescue were deployed after police helicopter searches were unsuccessful previously.
Louis’ body was located in woodland off Dorcan Way, near Snodshill Roundabout – only a short distance from his home.
In a statement, a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “Officers involved in the search for missing 29-year-old Louis Lobban have located a body.
“A search was launched after Louis was reported missing – having last been seen on Monday.
“Sadly, a body was located in woods off Dorcan Way, Swindon last night (22/10), and while formal identification has not yet taken place, Louis’ family have been informed of this latest development.
“There are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances in relation to this death.
“The family have asked for their privacy to be respected at this time and not to be contacted. They will reach out to people when they feel ready to do so.
“Our thoughts are with them at this extremely difficult time.”
