Wiltshire Police warn people to only call if it’s urgent as control room ‘very busy’

Wiltshire Police is warning people not to call 101 or 999 unless the call is urgent.

The warning comes as the police control room became ‘very busy’ this evening.

Inspector Gill Hughes‏ tweeted: “afternoon all, very…. busy in Wiltshire at this time, considering if your call is not urgent to call later when… not so busy..”

In an emergency, always call 999.
